National Disability Insurance Scheme

NDIS

At Harmony Speech – Quinn Health & Development, we’re proud to be a Registered NDIS Provider, which means we meet the highest standards of care, safety, and professional accountability set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

What is a Registered NDIS Provider?

Being a registered provider means we’ve gone through a formal approval process with the NDIS to ensure that:

  • Our team is qualified and experienced
  • We follow all safeguarding, reporting, and privacy requirements
  • We are committed to person-centred, inclusive, and ethical service delivery
  • We support people with disability in a way that respects their rights, autonomy, and goals

Why Choose a Registered Provider?

If you’re an NDIS participant with NDIA-managed funding, you can only use registered providers like us for your therapy and supports. Even if you’re plan-managed or self-managed, choosing a registered provider gives you peace of mind that we:

  • Follow clear quality standards
  • Are fully insured and audited
  • Have up-to-date working with children and police checks

What We Offer Under the NDIS

As a registered provider we offer the following services:

  • Speech Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Positive Behaviour Support
  • Support Workers
  • School Leaver Employment Support (SLES)
  • Allied Health Assistants (AHAs)

How to Apply

  • Call the NDIS on 1800 800 110 or visit ndis.gov.au
  • You’ll need to complete an Access Request Form and provide supporting documents from professionals (such as a GP, psychologist, or therapist) showing how your disability affects your everyday life.
  • Once approved, you’ll be invited to a planning meeting where you can discuss your needs and goals.

Early Intervention Funding

NDIS Early Childhood Approach
  • Who it’s for: Children under 6 years with developmental delay or under 9 years with a diagnosed disability.
  • Purpose: To provide timely, targeted supports during the critical early years when development is most rapid. The goal is to reduce the impact of delays and build skills for independence.
  • Key Features:
    • No formal diagnosis required for children under 6 with developmental concerns.
    • Supports include therapies (speech, OT, physio), assistive technology, family training, and community inclusion.
    • Delivered through Early Childhood Partners, who help families access local services and create tailored plans.
  • Why important: Early intervention can significantly improve long-term outcomes and reduce reliance on future supports.

Full NDIS Scheme

  • Who it’s for: People aged 9 to 65 (and some younger children transitioning from early intervention) with a permanent and significant disability that substantially reduces functional capacity in areas like mobility, communication, self-care, learning, or social interaction.
  • Purpose: To provide individualised funding for reasonable and necessary supports that help participants achieve goals, increase independence, and participate in community life.
  • Supports funded: Assistive technology, home modifications, personal care, therapy, transport, and capacity-building programs.
  • Access: Requires meeting residency, age, and disability criteria. Participants receive a plan with allocated budgets for different support categories.
